Dynamic Stacked Chart

I think I understand, but I am not sure. Here's what I tried -- see if this is what you are looking for:

1) In the pivot table pane, I moved status from Row Labels to column labels. This gave me what I assume is the desired stacked column chart.
2) To add the data labels, I selected the chart, clicked on Layout -> Data Labels -> Center.
2a) Excel defaults to "values" for the data labels. I selected each set of data labels -> Format data labels -> deselect values and select series name.

Is that what you are looking for?

Mr Shorty's solution is the way to go given you've already got a PT.

The attached is one alternative using a data table layout.

Is there a quick way to Format all data labels in one go as Im having to right click each individually?

Note that I am aware of. If you know a little VBA, it would be possible to write a macro that would loop through each data series and change the data label text. I find that, even though it is tedious, it is generally easier and faster (at least if this is a one time or rare task) to do it manually.
