    Charting Drawdown Periods by Year

Hello all. I am trying to replicate the logic that this website used for their drawdown graph. If you go to that link, scroll down, and click on Drawdowns, you will see a red graph based on the data beneath it. I've also attached an image of what I'm talking about.

I've exported this data to Excel but I can't for the life of me figure out how to get the Drawdown in chart form.

Please see attached for my latest attempt. The two issues I see are that my X-axis is not by calendar year like the website and also that there aren't as many peaks and valleys. It seems to be missing data the way I have it set up. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

    Thank you!

Thank you for your efforts, but I am trying to get the chart to look like the red one attached in my original post. Your attachment has the drawdowns just steadily increasing to near 400%.

I added an updated spreadsheet comparing the ORANGE chart, which is what I did. I want it to look like the RED chart below it.

    Can anyone please help?

I just realized I don't think this is possible without more data points. Like when price goes back up, what does it go to?
