    Help Power Pivot Percentage

    Hello,

I’m looking for some help regarding my excel file.

I have one powerpivot table with this information.

GREEN RED YELLOW GREY TOTAL DateTime DisplayName
    16 0 7 1 24 01/10/2016 00:00 A
    21 2 0 1 24 02/10/2016 00:00 A
    21 2 0 1 24 03/10/2016 00:00 A

Total column is calculated doing = Green + red + yellow + Grey. The result is always 24, because we have 24 hours by day.

Now I would like to show the percentage of this columns.

For example if I take the first line:

GREEN RED YELLOW GREY TOTAL DateTime DisplayName
    66,66 0 29,16 4,16 100 01/10/2016 A

How I can do that, who can help me?

    Thanks in advance.

    Re: Help Power Pivot Percentage

    Hi,

If you wish to achieve that in a pivot table, you need only choose to show the values as a percentage of the row total. If you wish to do it within the actual table in Power Pivot, you will require additional calculated columns to divide the values by 24.

    Re: Help Power Pivot Percentage

    Hello,

The first option is not working, that was the reason to come here to this forum to ask for help. If i do that: "the values as a percentage of the row total"
I'm always getting 100 % in all the columns, because there is no calculation with my TOTAL COLUMN.

The second option is working using : =[GREEN]/[TOTAL]*100 , but I don't understand why first option is not working.

    Re: Help Power Pivot Percentage

If the data you posted is a table in power Pivot rather than a Pivot table (it was unclear to me which was the case) then the % of row option will not work because they are separate fields. You would require a new measure for each column to calculate the percentage- much like the calculated column in the source table.
