Graph, axis options

The last day in my data set 7. september 2016. Therefore it is not convenient that the last one shown on graphs is a date from 2014. I want my graph to show 7. september 2016 as the last point on the x axis. Of course I can play with axis options under format axis with units, major etc until my date axis the way i want it to be, but there must be an easier way so it's always the last day. how do i do that?

If I understand what you are wanting to do, I don't see any good built in options for this. Microsoft just did not give us options for changing the algorithms behind the automatic axis limits.

If you are interested, this page http://peltiertech.com/link-excel-ch...lues-in-cells/ describes how to use VBA to link the chart axis limits to cells in the spreadsheet. He includes a link to an add-in that will do this for you, if that is of interest. With something like that, you can write whatever algorithm you want for determining the axis limits and have it automatically update on the chart.
