Knowledge Check: Changing the Category Order on a Bar Chart

Morning all,

I'm surprised this took me as long as it did to achieve but I wanted to create a bar chart and have the values showing in descending order. Is the key to achieving this based on the structure of the data the chart is built on? Or am I missing something? I'm just surprised that there doesn't appear to be an option within the chart settings to achieve this. If it helps to explain what I'm going on about I've attached an example.

Hi,

Yes it is dependent on the source data layout. For this example I would suggest a pivot table and chart which can be automatically sorted by the values.
