Combine different columns of data in 1 graph.

    Hi all,

At work I want the IT professional to build a tool for me, which visualises the sales performance. This is just 1 graph, showing the total revenues of all orders over time. However, I also want to be able to split this up: a separate line per product category, or per specific item, or per account manager etc. Moreover, I also want to be able to split this up even further: only showing data for 1 product category, and give separate lines for each account manager. And the other way around: only showing data for 1 account manager, and give separate lines for each product category.

(Almost) all of these possibilities of selecting and splitting data for the graphs are interesting. However, I don't want the tool to consist of 1.000 graphs. Therefore, I want to be able to modify the graph in such a way that I exactly see what I want to see in just 1 graph.

The IT specialist told me: if you can build it in Excel, I can see the logic behind it and build it. I tried to build it, but I failed.
My questions are: 1. Is it possible (in Excel)? 2. If yes, how?

I added a document that consists data on the different variables I described here (and that I want to be in the tool).

    Thanks in advance!

I've tried Pivot tables, but I'm really not good with them. Anyway, you're telling me it is possible with pivot tables and charts?
