ok so what you're suggesting is forget the pivot table? You might have a point. I'll give it a go and see if I can get the report I need. Initially I was suggesting any 2 fields but one must be the name just a test. I've got to go back to the client and find exactly what fields she wants. Many thanks for replying to my question.
