    Pivot Table Edit

Hello, So I have a Dashboard that has 6 charts all linked to 1 pivot table to that when i use a filter it changes all the charts with it. I want the user to be able to click the filters and see the charts react but that is it. I clicked "protect sheet" and checked the check mark "Use PivotTable Reports" and also tried the "sort" and "auto filter" checks but every time it says "cannot edit PivotTable on protected sheet".

Is there any way to get around this?

    Thanks!

You can try slicers instead of filters.

    Re: Pivot Table Edit

I personally do not like using sliders, i think the PT filters are much easier to use when I have many options to choose from. This does work but I would love to find a solution so I can use the filters.

    Thanks though.

Haha, I strongly prefer slicers, and when there are a lot of options I create multiple columns in the slicer.

    Does this help?

    Re: Pivot Table Edit

Okay now it worked. the reason it wasn't working was because all the charts were linked to other worksheets that were protected. (i dont want the other tabs to be messed with either.) so what i did was unprotected the others sheets and just used the "Very Hidden" code in the developer tab.

    Thanks for you help!!!!
