Avoid that no data be plot like zero in a chart after moving the sheet to another workbook

Hi,

I've some pivot charts in a sheet that are fine. But I've a specific task where I must move and copy the sheet where I've this charts to another workbook. The problem is that when I move the sheet and break the link between the charts and the data, the "no data" in the chart is plot like zero's in the new workbook while before I made the move and copy the chart simply wasn't plot which is what I want. How can I prevent this behaviour of the chart after moving the sheet to a new workbook?

Thanks in advance

Regards

Not sure I understand?

Are you saying that when you move data from file 1 to file 2 - and break links, the chart in file 1 no longer works?
Or are you saying you move the chart from file 1 to file 2 - and break links, the chart no longer works>
either way, the chart will not work because you have removed the data it was using
1. Use code tags for VBA.
Your Code
(or use the # button)

Re: Avoid that no data be plot like zero in a chart after moving the sheet to another work

Hi,

The charts records an activity throughout a time window but there are some instants when there is no activity. In the original charts, these moments of no activity have no plot, they simply are not traced in the charts which is right but after I move the chart to another workbook, these specific moments of no activity are presented in the charts like zero's. I dont want that. How can avoid this behaviour?

Regards
