Excel 2016 - how to omit missing dates from chart

As far as I know, the "trick" you linked to of forcing Excel to use a text/category axis instead of a time/date axis has been around since at least 2002, and it has always been a part of the "format horizontal/category axis" dialog (except in the case of XY Scatter charts). While it might be possible, it seems unlikely that Microsoft would have changed this basic feature of line/column/bar charts for 2016. https://support.office.com/en-US/Art...9-4531ffa62bbb Follow the help file instructions to bring up the format horizontal axis task pane and see if you can force it to see the axis as a text/category and not date axis.
