Date alignment

I have a basic piv table summarizing items by date. The date data is arranged in columns so the table header displays “March”, “April”, “May”, “June” ect
IF my data set includes a date range say from October 1st 2015 to January 20th 2016.. the table displays “Jan”, “Oct”, ”Nov”, Dec”
Is there a way to get my columns to align like this - “Oct”, ”Nov”, Dec” ,”Jan”
I tried a few different date formats but no joy so far!

Ha.. right click on the date and choose "Move to end" got to love it!
