Create pivot table from a large external csv file

Hello

Is it possible to create a pivot table in excel 2010 using a large external csv file? My CSV file has over 4M records.

The maximum rows in Excel 2007 and up is 1,048,576. You would need to use MS Access or some other database software.

Hi 99probs,

I believe you can install Power Pivots into your Excel 2010 version and it will do those 4M records. See:

Hi Marvinp

If the excel limit is 1,048,576 then i believe there is no point of doing this in excel? Even if i install power pivots, it would not take more than 1M records.....Am i right?
