Thanks for that, that was exactly what I needed. Just to add to the discussion, I have added how I can take the line and stretch it to the edges of the chart

After getting the line on the chart,
1) select the threshold line, right click> format data series > secondary axis
2)select the chart > from the ribbon > add chart element > axis > secondary horizontal
3) select the secondary horizontal axis (in my case its on the top of the chart > choose axis options from the format axis options >axis position choose "on tick marks"
4) in the same format axis section under tick marks > major type =none >minor type = none, > and under labels, label position = none
5) select the secondary vertical axis on the chart > delete

That should then put your threshold marker back in the right position and clean up the chart.
