Using a Named Range for Chart Data

I am having two issues with using a dynamic range for chart data. I need to use a dynamic range because I am making the chart itself dynamic, by allowing users to turn on and off rows of data with checkboxes. I have the source table working that lists the active rows with no blanks, but when I reference the data in a chart it is blank. It has the period names and the legend of the right categories, but no data in the chart itself.

The second issue which will be a problem after the first is solved is that the dynamic range is converting to a static one after I put it as the chart data. When I first put it in it looks fine and picks the correct range. But it converts to a static range after the fist input and wont update when the number of rows change. When I paste it in again it updates, but I would like this to be automatic.

Thank you so much for your help.

(How to) Upload a Workbook directly to the Forum
(please do not post pictures or links to worksheets)
    • Click Advanced (next to quick post),
    • Scroll down until you see "Manage Attachments",
    • Click that then select "add files" (top right corner).
    • Click "Select Files" find your file, click "open" click "upload"
    • Once the upload is completed the file name will appear below the input boxes in this window.
    • Click "Done" at bottom right to close the Attachment Manager.
    • Click "Submit Reply"

Sorry about that. Didn't know pictures were not allowed.

However, I have since figured out the missing data issue, so there is no need to upload.

I still have the second problem of my dynamic range being replaced by a static range. Can you please help with this problem?

We would still need to see the workbook.

Ok. It is currently triple the forum limit though. Let me cut out some tabs.

    Ok, here it is.

I am trying to use the named range of Summary_Chart_Data for the data source for the chart. It works when I first put it in, but after the initial setup it turns into a static range and does not change as the dynamic range changes.
