Calculated Field / Column / Item in Pivot Table

    Hello,

I need to calucate growth from the single column data in the pivot table. I have Sales Amount data for the year 2014 and 2015 in the single column and year and month details in the different columns.

Need to create growth % column from the Sales Amount column. If I had Sales Amount data in two different columns for each specific year I could have created calculated column using this forumula (Current Year-Previous year/Previous Year). But I don't know how to calculate it when I have sales figures for both the years in the same column.

Need your help experts! An Excel Student!

Referece data is attached. I am using Excel 2013.

You can choose to show the sales values as the % difference from the previous item in a field (year). (can't look at your file as I'm on a tablet)
Everyone who confuses correlation and causation ends up dead.

Thanks a lot Stasnek. This is really impressive but I am trying to achieve it in the same format shared by me. I need Year as top header and then months header under that.

I need to manipulate the data in different other filters as well such by Brand, By Retail Store, by City etc and I work with near million records. So I want the format intact as it is being used by our vendors for last few months!
