Pivot 'report filter' has no search field??

Hi guys,

I've created a pivot table with a report filter. It's a filter on data which is manually entered into our system and so can be entered slightly different e.g David Taylor, Dave Taylor.

I'm used to being able to start typing into a search box in the filter drop down and it selects all of those rows of data with your criteria in.
However that search box isn't available. Is that normal on a report filter?

I've attached a screen shot minus data.

Any help would be greatly appreciated as it's really making my life difficult!

welcome to the forum. i think the search function is only available from Excel 2010 onwards.
