THe most frequent occuring item in a field?

Hi, I am given a list of names(field name: Uid) and I need to make a pivot chart that displays the most frequent occuring 9 names with the number of occurence for each.
The thing is that, I don't know which these 9 names are.
Is there anyway to do this with a pivot table? Does it have a function that can find out the most frequent occuring item, the second most frequent occruing item and etc in a field and then count the occurence?

Yes, create a pivot table. Drag the Uid field to both the 'Row Labels' box and the 'Values' box.

Then go to the arrow next to row labels, value filters, top 10 and change the box that says 9 to 10.

Voila.

Is there a way that I can add "Others" in row label with number of occurence of all other names that are not in top 9?

I would just create another PivotTable in exactly the same way but instead of top 9 then filter for the bottom however many unique values you have minus 9.
