How to create a chart with multiple columns per date, and a single point per column

Hi Everyone,

I would like a combination chart that has a set of dates as the X axis. Each date point has a column and a single point. This can easily be created with a column and a scatter plot. However, I want to plot this char with multiple columns per date (again, easy to do) but also with a point per column. This is the part I can't work out. Perhaps it's not even possible. I've attached an example of what I want (I forgot to include the date labels!):

It could be done with individual charts (one per date interval), but can it be done as a single chart?
