    Excel 2010 Chart Showing Hidden Columns/Rows

    I'd like to show various date ranges periodically on the attached chart. In previous versions of Excel, I thought merely hiding the unwanted columns/rows on the source data sheet would stop the data from showing on the chart - is this not so with 2010? All hidden columns and rows are showing. Advice and suggestions are GREATLY appreciated!!

    your calculate has been set to manual put it back to automatic and it updates when you hide data or press f9 when you want to update
