Excel 2013 "Dead / Unresponsive" Charts

    Good day

I have a document consisting of various sheets and which each contain a number of charts and data tables. Initially I am able to copy and paste the charts onto the same or other sheets, but eventually the charts become "dead". They appear on the sheets, and I can select them, but I cannot copy them to the clipboard and paste them (either to the same or another sheet).

If I create a new chart using the same data ranges I can copy and paste it, but the old ones are completely DoA.

Also, when I select a dead chart and select Chart Tools/Design, the Style Galleries all have the same nondescript icon of a paintbrush and bars.

Why is this happening, and how do I keep it from happening?

The document relating to this post:
    Colour coordinate graphs.xlsx

    Try renaming your worksheets.

for example when I renamed the first 3 sheets to: tvCMAC1, tvCLONG1, tvCMAC2

I was able to copy and paste charts again

Thumbs up Re: Excel 2013 "Dead / Unresponsive" Charts

Great! It works perfectly. Must be something in the naming of the sheets that caused the problem. Strange that new charts would work though.

    Thank you so much Andy!
