Exclamation Problem with Top 10 Filter Pivot Table MAC

    Hey Y'all!

Been searching for hours and simply CANNOT for the life of me find an answer to this problem I'm having.

I have a very simple excel sheet with ~6000 rows in 2 columns (Point A, and Point B)

When I create a pivot table, it comes out fine.. But when I filter by value for the Top 10, it seems to show the lowest cells, not the most occurring.

Not only this, if I sort by Bottom 10, it seems to give me the top 10 numbers, although if I expand to see the bottom 20 (let's say), it gets rid of one of the original numbers that were in the top 10.

Does anyone have any idea what the problem is here? My friend who filtered it on his windows got it to work perfectly fine; however, mine is BACKWARDS?

Any suggestions or help would be greatly appreciated as I have NO IDEA, 3 hours of research later on what the problem is or how to fix it.

Thank you very much hope to hear from y'all soon!

Attached. As you can see, the small set of data that I typed up (sheet 1&2) seemed to work, but the pivot table I created on Sheet 3 from Data on Sheet 4... Is broken?

I'm not sure of what the problem is, but like I said it seemed to sort out fine on my friends Windows system, but my Mac excel is being buggy..

PS: Once I get the pivot table correctly, is there a way to extract the top numbers in list format? Something in maybe 3 columns such as: Point A | Point B | Count ?

    Thank you so much!!

    Hi Seire,

Sorry for the late in response. Got some urgent work to do.

I didn't found any error in sheet 3 however, i just refreshed the pivot table and dragged "Point B" in "Columns" area of pivot and it's working perfectly fine.

Also, could you explain more as what you looking for exactly post the above solution for pivot table. Could you add any dummy out as what would it be like.

    Thanks,
    Anil Dhawan

Sorry I took so long to respond here.

I know the data is correct. The problem I'm having is that when I filter the pivot table by values, "Top 10" gives me the bottom 10%, and "Bottom 10" gives the top 10%. It's backward.

I was just curious to see if this is a Mac problem or if there is a way to solve it?
