Question Grouping months across year change problem

Hi all. I'm new to the Forum, and of course searching for an answer.

So I have a report I create the first of each month. The data is for the previous 6 months. Now that I have crossed the year boundary from 2014 to including 1 month of 2015, my chart reporting has hit a wall. I group my data by months. But now that I have January in the picture, the grouping by month, also requires grouping by year, to keep the data in the correct order on the charts. That is where my problem begins. First, here is a screen shot of the Pivot Charts and related data that I initially create. These charts are working just fine, because the addition of the 2015 data does not affect them.

Once I have created those 2 Charts, I then use that Pivot Data to create a "Sub Chart" as I will show in my next pic. This is where the addition of 2015 data goes wonky.

I use a formula to pull the data for this sub chart, out of the data already pulled for the first 2 charts. Up to last month, this worked great. But now that Jan. 2015 is in the data, it will no longer allow me to create the correct chart reporting for the sub chart. It will only pull January (from column C) as the Chart Legend Title, then pull all of the other data from Column D as the Axis data. Below is a screen shot of the formula that I use in column D for the percentages.

So..... A real brain scratcher for you Power Users. Is there a viable work around, that does not require continual manual manipulation to make this sub chart?

    Attach a Workbook
(please do not post pictures or links to worksheets)
    • Click Advanced (next to quick post),
    • Scroll down until you see "Manage Attachments",
    • Click that then select "add files" (top right corner).
    • Click "Select Files" find your file, click "open" click "upload"
    • Once the upload is completed the file name will appear below the input boxes in this window.
    • Click "Done" at bottom right to close the Attachment Manager.
    • Click "Submit Reply"

Considering that my work involves Aerospace ITAR controlled information, I cannot simply attach a workbook. That is why I did screenshots with the sensitive info covered over.

So you can't be bothered to post a mock-up of your workbook with the affected columns/rows and including the formulas? But you want volunteers working at home to create their own guesswork copies from pix...?

Ok. Good suggestion that I did not think of. And I will get one together. Need to lay off the coffee there. No need to jump on people. I told you I was new here. Sheesh!
