Hello,
since we cannot see your screen, please post either
- a screenshot of the chart and screenshots of the settings you applied to the lines.
- or post a sample file with dummy data that shows the problem.
Otherwise it will be hard to help.
cheers, teylyn
Can you share a copy of the doc with this issue.
Verify that your zoom is at 100% to ensure correct perspective/view of the table as this can give the illusion of broken or solid lines when at a different zoom level

Hello,
I opened the file with Excel 2013 (I don't have 2007).
I can see that the line is dotted in the lower half. I selected the line and opened the "Format data series" dialog. When I set the "Dash type" to a solid line, the data series line shows as a solid line from top to bottom.
Also, when I set the line to "Automatic", it shows as a solid line.
So, maybe just select different line formats until the one that you want to use is displayed.
The problem is the line has the same X value for all points and the Y values are not ranked.
This means the line goes up and down over itself. Depending on the spacing this can mean a dashed section of the line covering the space section of a previous section of the line.
You can more easily see this in the chart that has varying X values. You can see the whole line is in affect dashed.
If you must use a dashed line you will need to rank the Y values.
Or you could simple plot Min and Max Y values.
