Need Help with Area / Column Chart

Hello,

In the attachment, is there any way to keep the columns and chart proportions as-is, and have the shaded region in the background fill everything above the value of 2 (below 2 = no gray fill, above 2 = gray fill)?

Preferably the shaded region is defined by a function and not by a chart area color fill.

use a series on secondary axis as chart type area.
add secondary horizontal axis and format labels on Tickmarks to extend area to sides of plot area.

I am a beginner - my apologies.

I can make the secondary axis change, but can you walk me through the next steps?

Also, would it be possible to eliminate the axis that is created on top of the chart (separate question; the first question is more important)?
