Combo chart - line graph and stacked column - lines not visible

Hi

I m using a combo chart in excel 2013. So individual sales formatwise is plotted as a stacked column and the net sales every month is plotted on the line graph.

The connecting lines on my line graph is not visible.(i ve tried using the plain line graph & the line graph with marker.) For marker line graph the marker points are visible but no connecting line.

What could be the issue?

Are you able to select the line chart series? If you choose the option with lines and markers, for example, do you see the markers? If so, can you format the line to be something (temporarily) bold?

Are there gaps in the data> Excel may be plotting a gap, i.e., no line, corresponding to gaps in the data. Right click the chart, choose Select data, click the Empty and Hidden Cells button in the lower left, and choose Connect Data Points with Line.

it was the second line "Empty and Hidden Cells" that worked wonders.
