Excel 2010 Pivot charts & displaying filter choice

Hi

I create charts every month, and create a pivot of data and a chart based on the pivot table.

The user can select which manufacturing group they want to look at and the chart refreshes with only that area's data.

But the area chosen's name/title isn't reflected in the graph, so I can't easily cut and paste the chart into reports unless I manually refer them the group they are looking at.

Is it possible please?

Can you post the actual file or a copy that reproduces your issue?

When you go to reply, you can see an option of 'Go Advanced'.

Click on that & scroll down to 'Manage Attachments'

Select Add Files, Browse to your file, Upload the file & click 'Done' when it's uploaded & it will be added to your post.

I did the steps from memory so it should be similar to what I described.

Hi Clair,

As far as I'm aware Pivots don't support this feature, but as a work around you can add a text box as a Chart Title that reads a Cell value.

I haven't tried it myself but the below link explains how it's done with a normal chart.
