I've introduced a calculated field of the percentagem in the gross margin.
Month to month and client to client, i get the percentage but on the grand total, it just doesn't calculate.
this is the blue cell on the image below and the attatched file

Change the formula to:
=IF(Profit2=0,0,'Gross Margin2'/Profit2)
BTW, it's a calculated field, not calculated item - the two are very different.

sorry. i meant calculated field.
and the problem isn't in the data sheet. it's on the pivot table.
The percentage is calculated on the pivot table. that's where my problem is
I know that - you need to change the formula for the calculated field to what I posted.
