Combining facts in different units in pivot-table

    Hi!

I have data with costs for different "areas" (doesn't matter what an area is in this context), for a number of years. For some areas, the cost is expressed in million euros (MEUR). For other areas, the cost is in man-years. I also have the conversion factor for each year, to convert man-year to euro. E.g., 2015, one man year is equivalent to 0.16 MEUR.

I am trying to come up with a way to create a pivot-table that presents the total cost, in MEUR, where the man-year cost has been converted to MEUR. The attached example is very simplified - the real data has 100 year columns. I know I could create another 100 columns, where the cost has been recalculated. I am hoping to avoid this, by using some clever pivot-table feature.

    Thanks!
    /Fredrik

I dunno... you're basically looking to apply a conversion factor to all your data based on a boolean test.

That's getting far enough outside what a Pivot Table is that I think you're better off pumping through a conversion table rather than trying to hack it into Pivot Table operations.
