Question Trying to get 2 sets of data on a Logarithmic Chart

    Greetings-

I'm trying to create a logarithmic chart in Excel 2002. I have 2 sets of data, & I'm confusing myself how this should go. I need the Percent Passing Sieve values on the left side of the chart, with the log values along the bottom axis of the chart.

I have included a .pdf to show what it should look like. It is from Harvard Chart XL. What I'm trying to do is setup a worksheet, where someone enters all the data, and it automatically generates the chart, based on that data....which will change from test to test.

I can't figure out how to change which info is displayed on what axis. Maybe I've looked at this too long.

If anyone wants a good laugh, please help....I'm probably looking right over the solution.

In order to get a logarithmic x axis, you will need to plot the data as a XY scatter plot and not a line chart. Once you have changed to a scatter plot, it should be as easy as formatting the x axis and checking the "logarithmic axis" option.
