    Is it possible to use filter to remove top and bottom 25% of values in pivot table?

    I have a pivot table with four 'row' categories and one 'value' category. I would like to apply a filter to remove the top and bottom 25% of the values from each group then create an average for the remaining values.

    I want my data to look like this:

    Variety ------> Region -------> Irrigation type ------> Location -----> Remove 25% of highest and lowest Yield and leave middle 50%.

    End result should be average yield of middle 50% for each variety separated by region, irrigation type, and location. I want the data filtered only at the highest level of separation.

    Thanks so much brain trust!

    Hi, and welcome to the forum.

    Would you like to upload the workbook so that we can see the request in context?

    You know, I'd be happy with removing all values above and below 1 standard deviation from the mean if that is easier.

    Maybe =TRIMMEAN formula?
