    Hey with Pivot Table Sums

Hi there, been having some issues trying to get the proper getpivotdata sum on the attached sheet. What I'm wanting to do, is based on the contract year time frame for the given client, grab the sum of the sales from the pivot table on the Data tab. I just can't get my head wrapped around the proper formula to get the sum across the multiple cells in the pivot table properly. Hoping someone can help!

    Thanks in advance!

Edit: That should read help...must need more coffee for a Monday morning! lol

so, I did a few things and I hope they helped

    1) if you are grouping by months in a pivot and using real Dates (which you are), you can use the group system built into the pivot table. I change your PT using the real dates and grouping by month and year...(no need for the helper column, so far)

    2) in your summary table I used a SUMIFS to get totals for you.

this may not be exactly what you want but I hope it gets you closer...

Indeed that does get me closer! It'll definitely do the trick for now, I had completely forgotten about simply using the real dates and grouping appropriately. Thanks!
