I have a line chart which displays historical spreads on a 10 year time period that I update biweekly. In the chart, I have specific data labels that I want to remain static. However, when ever I update the data range, the data labels that I want to remain static change. Is there a work around to keeping data labels static even when the data range is updated?
Note:Tried googling for a solution but didn't see one. Appreciate the help, and let me know if clarification is needed. Thanks!
First make sure your graph is showing data labels. Next, click on a data label - this should put a box around every data label for that 'line'. Next, click on a data label again - this should have a box around just the one data label you clicked on. Type the value of the label you want it to show - you may not see it on the label as you type, but you should see your text in the formula bar. Hit Enter. The label should now have a name that does not change with the data. Click on the next data label and repeat.
