Custom x axis - please help

Hi there,

I need some assistance with excel graph x -axis. I want the x axis to show something like below:

0 50 100 150 200 250 300 350 400 450 (multiples of 50s)

I have played around with the options:
- Intervals - "specify interval unit" - 50, but its not giving multiples of 50s.

Please assist.

I think you are struggling with the ever so important differences between a scatter chart and a line chart. The category axis used for a line chart means that Excel does not acknowledge the existence of minutes 1 through 4 since they aren't present in the data.

One possible idea -- insert entries at the beginning for 1,2,3,4. This should get Excel to see all the numbers rather than skipping over 1 - 4.

The other idea is to make it a true scatter plot and use this tutorial to create the "fill under the series" effect of an area chart: http://peltiertech.com/WordPress/fil...n-excel-chart/

The first approach is probably easier in this one case, but future efforts may be hampered by the need to add in the extra data at the beginning. The latter approach might be more robust, but it is more effort.
