    Question Automatic Chart design

    Hi guys,

I am new to Excel and learned the basics with help of that forum so thank you, first of all

Now I am facing a problem I could not find discussed within that forum so far.

I am creating an automatically updated chart. I want the chart to have two different labels. One at the bottom and one at the top. The bottom one is automatically updated. I want the second one to be automatically updated as well with data from another column on the excel sheet. Is that possible?

    Help greatly appreciated

    hi
by "label", do you mean a single piece of text? You can achieve this by adding a text box to your chart, then in the formula bar type a link to the cell in the sheet tha you want to link to, eg

    =A1

    Question Re: Automatic Chart design

    hi,
thanks for the reply. I want to label the bars with their according date. As you can see at the attached Excel file I use the filter method in order to create the diagrams. Any idea how I could do it? Please consider that there are always new entries being added to the sheet and that the diagram (and its labels) need to adapt accordingly.

    thank you!

    Re: Automatic Chart design

    Hi
you could include both the date and the number of payment delays in your x-axis labels by setting the x-axis range to include data from two columns, as shown in the attached. is that what you want?
