Can i use Ms-Access as backend for surveys

Hello,

I want to create a database for the survey of the people living in a particular area.
That database contains all the information about the people.

I use Ms Access 2003 as a database.

Do you think, Access is capable to do this? I am wondering, if more than one person use Ms Access, will it be still safe.

I think we can do this in access but i don't think so that this is secure.....because maintain a large amount of data is difficult in access.
It also becomes complicated.....
