converting string to numeric - giving some scientific number

Kindly need your help on MS Assess - convert from string to numeric

Serial -> 9000000271116767
Val(Serial) -> 9.00000027111677E+15

Keep it text - you have 16 digits in your serial number, which is beyond the typical 15 digit MS limits for numeric values.
