    General Access Form question

    Hello,

I'm looking to create a form that can auto fill the receiving side of my bank transactions. For instance when I transfer funds from my checking account to my savings account I enter a debit entry for my checking and then have to enter the credit entry in my savings. Is there anyway to auto populate the second entry (credit entry) after I finish the first (debit entry).

With your form open in design view. In the control which will hold the credit value, type =-[controlName of Debit on your Form]. Alternatively you could create an After Update Event to populate the Credit similarly using VBA.

    Thanks alansidman,

I got busy and I'm not able to test your answer. Once I do I'll make sure I close the thread and give rep.

    Re: General Access Form question

I had to change the structure of my table and form, but it worked.
