    problem with adding record replacing first record

    hi all, i have a problem i can not seem to figure out. i have a form where i enter info to be added to the database as a record. when i click my 'add new record' button. the first record in my table is replaced with what i just added!! obviously i need this to be entered as the next new record in my table! if i go ahead and enter a another record access actually enters it where it belongs at the end of the table. what am i doing wrong here??
