    Excel LOG Base

    Hello
Excel has log base 10 and log base 2
log base 2 will multiply base number : if base number is 1 then next step will be 2
please imagin my base number is 1.1 and max number is 1.3
is there a way for log base show less than 2 "i.e base 1.5 or base 1.1 etc"
I want for vertical column in chart when minimun is 1.1 and maximum is 1.3 I can see just base number 1.1

is there any way for solve this problem?

you want to add a graph with a logaritmic scale and min 1.1 and max 1.5 ?

    Re: Excel LOG Base

This seems very similar to a previous thread from a couple of years ago: https://www.excelforum.com/excel-gen...ml#post5399479 As noted back then, I am not aware of any built in way for Excel to do this, but you can "fake" an axis using techniques shown by Jon Peltier in some of his chart tutorials (see links in previous thread). Do these techniques that we used previously no longer work for you?

    Re: Excel LOG Base

Unfortunately, my older versions of Excel do not support "data labels from cells" so I cannot do that step. Other than that, I had provided a sample file with all of the other steps worked in post #10 of the previous thread: https://www.excelforum.com/excel-gen...ml#post5399479 Adding data labels from cells to the "dummy axis" series should be achievable using instructions in this help file: https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/...2-f467c9f4eb2d

What are you having trouble implementing from our past attempts?

    Re: Excel LOG Base

    Absolutely right

If vertical column is LOG Base , correct.
I have 2 diffrences with your file:
1- my data is on Line Chart but yours is on Bar Chart
2- my data started from 0.9 but yours started from 1.1 "i.e on Chart"

I'm sure you really understand my mean

    Thank you

    like this :
add the new serie as a scatter, change it back so that's also on the first Y-axe, add labels, move them to the left, ...
