refrencing formulas from another file?

Good afternoon all, I could use some help on my project. I have an excel file with a data sheet that has columns of data that include lots of demographic data, as well as measurements for various parameters. I have an empty column in my sheet for data that can only be calculated by a formula that’s on another excel file. This second file was given to me by the developer of a specific formula. This file has a sheet with easily pluggable cells (demographic data & measurements that I have in my file). These cells have references to formulas that are complex, and retrieve quotients from a standardized data set included in one of the sheets of his file. It’s clear that I can’t simply cut and paste the formulas. Is there a way to pull data from one file, run it thru a formula in another excel file, and dump the result back into the original file? Might sound confusing, but I was trying to be concise. Thank you for your time.

Re: refrencing formulas from another file?

    Hi, welcome to the forum

If you mean - can you "pull in" a formula from another file, run some values through it, and then return the answer to "this" workbook, then no, I dont think that is possoble.

If that was not what you wanted, then perhaps try and explain again?
    1. Use code tags for VBA.
Your Code
(or use the # button)
