Conditional Formatting a data series in a graph.

I need some help with some conditional formatting if you don’t mind. I have a spreadsheet (I attached it). It is a stacked bar chart. I want to make each letter a specific color for example, for all the H’s I want it to be one color, for all the HL’s I want it to be one color, for all the A’s one color. I have been trying and trying but I cant seem to get it. Would you please help me.

    Thanks!

Hi, I don't think you can get more than 3 colours very easily with conditional formatting.
Attached is your file modified in sheet 2 with code to colour cells.
You can add conditions to the "select case" in the code.
On sheet (3) is a colour Palette to help make your choice.

You need to loop through the seriescollection and check the Name of the series to determine the colour.

Please Login or Register to view this content.
You will need to add more cases and set the colours you require
