how do you make bullets

I am doing a project for work in which i need to put alot of bullets into
excel, i have been copying them from word and pasting them into my document,
however i find it hard to believe that excel doesnt have the option of
placing bullets within the program. Does anyone know how to do it?

No, try Symbol on the Insert menu. Select the shape you want from the
table presented.

As another alternative, you might also try holding down the ALT key, press a number on your keypad (Num Lock ON, MUST use keypad to type the number), release, and see what symbol appears. The symbol that appears varies depending on the font you choose. Example: Using Arial font, ALT + 7 results in a square bullet; ALT + 9 results in a diamond.

You can also press ALT and type multiple numbers on the keypad (Num Lock ON, MUST use keypad to type the number), then release, until you see a symbol you like. Example: Using Arial font, ALT +14 results in a right-pointing triangle.

Be sure to write down what font you are using and the numbers you used so you can use that symbol again later.

The down side of this is you still don't get the nice hanging indent like you do in Word (so text lines up under each other and bullet it out to the left), but if you've got to do the work in Excel, this is one way to do it, and pasting a bulleted list from Word doesn't hold the indent either.
