I need a special sum formula. I need the sum of a range of cells, but before taking the sum I need the formula to subtract 60 from each cell in the range. But... I only need the formula to subtract when a value is entered into the cell, not to subtract from every cell in the range and give me a negative or wrong answer.?????? help with this

Try something like:
=SUMPRODUCT(--(A1:A10<>""),--(A1:A10-60))
adjust ranges to suit
