    Drop Remaining decimal places

I've got a large spreadsheet with a lot of values such as:
    1.2315
    1.157
    2.447
    7.1
    3.5523

I'm wanting just 2 decimal places, like the following:
    1.23
    1.16
    2.45
    7.10
    3.55

I can go to FORMAT-CELLS and have it just show 2 decimals, but then my totals are off. It still has the full number as the value, and its throwing all my numbers off. I know this isnt really a programming issue, but anyone have any ideas?

Set up a new column and use the ROUNDUP function.

    So if A1 = 1.2315, in B1 type

and B2 will round the figure to 2 decimal places.

    Hope this helps

Thanks Martin, but I actually found it after I posted it. It was very easy, and made me feel foolish for posting it. For anyone who is curious you can go to TOOLS-OPTIONS then select the 'Calculation' tab and check 'Precision as displayed'.

Thanks again for your reply Martin.

    No Problem.

Be careful with the Precision Flag. It will alter EVERYTHING - can cause problems later on if you don't want it to round. That's why I prefer formulas; a little more control

    Re: Drop Remaining decimal places

I prefer formulas as well but instead of using Roundup, I would just use Round. Roundup will cause all numbers to round up even if the 3 decimal place is 4 or lower.
