    Negative Values

Is there a way of ALWAYS getting the figures of a negative value of currency
shown in read on a worksheet? If there is how do I arrange it?
I tried Format>Cells>Number> and Currency, where I highlighted the red -£
figures, but I still get the negative Currency numbers in black. My OS is
    Win.XPPro.

    Hi Zygy,

The formatting options only apply to the cells selected at the time the
options are applied. If you want a whole row/colum/worksheet to be affected,
all of that row/colum/worksheet must be selected.

    Cheers

    Hi Zygy,

Selecting the whole worksheet can be done in a couple of ways:
    * Click the grey square which appears at the intersection of the row & column headers at the top left of the screen, or
    * select any cell and press [ctrl + a] (hold the control key & press the letter A).

You can then apply the formatting as you normally would.

However, this may lead to quite an increase in your file size. My preferred option is to just apply the formatting to the used range (but this may be a nusiance if you are regularly adding more data to the bottom/side of your spreadsheet. To just apply the formatting to the used range press:
[ctrl + home], then press [ctrl + shift + end], and apply the formatting.
