Pivot Table - character max

I have created a pivot table, and one of the data cells has a substantial amount of text that I want to bring through into the pivot table. When I refresh the pivot table, all of the text in that cell is not displayed (it looks like it only displays the first 250 characters). Is there a character max in pivot table display? Can I correct this?

Hi

There is indeed a limit which, according to Debra Dalgleish is 255 characters. You can't change this limit, which leaves you with the alternative of eg adding an extra field to the source data which will number the comments, and then in a separate sheet in the pivot table workbook listing the numbers and the full comments. In your pivot table, you would then show the comment number and the short description, and could point users towards the full description on the other page. Not an ideal solution though, I'll admit.
