I made this formula to add the digits of an integer:
=SUM(--MID(<integer>,ROW(INDIRECT("1:"& LEN(<integer>))),1))
You can copy it along a row or column to iterate.
I'm afraid I'm not sure how to put that into one cell but this is a start.

This formula by Daddylonglegs:
=A1 - FLOOR(A1 - 1, 9)

Entia non sunt multiplicanda sine necessitate
Those pages made my brain sad. Isn't there a forum rule about inflicting that kind of thing on innocent forum users?
Also, cool.
or heres a udf i found that will take 66 in say a1 and return 3
=digitalroot(a1)
or if used like =DigitalRoot(SUBSTITUTE(A1,"+","")) it can do a whole string of single digit numbers in the form 6+5+7+2
this code came from here![]()

Hi all...thanks for reply and tq very much for help...
