    Talking Stopwatch

    Hi

I need a macro to create STOPWATCH in attached excel sheet so that I can come to know how much I am taking time to complete a request. It should be like this.. When I start the time clock needs to start with second.

I have also attached a screen print to more specify my query. Please see & let me know if I am not clear.

    Thanks & Regards,

Re: Need a clock in Excel sheen like stop watch

I'm not sure this is what you really want but this is what I think you want. You already had macros that I modified to automatically place a time at the last cell in the row of either Start or End time.

    Hi BigDawg15,

This attached file of yours is so helpful. Just because of it I have made the excel sheet as per my requirement but still one thing is missing. I have made one more button in my sheet.

What I want by this button that when I click on this button, it should get reset to 0:00:00 & start with next 1 second (0:00:01)

I have attached one more sheet & screen print to relay that what I want .. please do the needful..(please modify if it required)

    Thanks

Re: Need a clock in Excel sheen like stop watch

You should change the StartCycle sub like the one below to make it more accurate. If you work on your excel while timer is running, your macro might stop working while other macros run and your timer will loose some steps. With the modification, you always refer to the computer timeclock so it will always be accurate.

    Re: Stopwatch

Thanks All. I have got my solution just because of you guys.

Now my last question is how I can use one button for two things:

1 thing: When I click on a button time get started & when I click again timer again get started with 1st second. ( It has already been resolved but I want this function to joint with 2 thing)

2 thing : when I click on same button it should give me current time in active cell.

My simple code is “activecell= time”

I want to use both thing happens by clicking on 1 button. Is it possible then plz tell what I need to do.

I have attached a screenshot to rely what I want with final timer sheet. Please find.

    Re: Stopwatch

Look at attached file and macros. If you click on a cell, it will place the start time in that cell. When you'll click on the Stop/Reset button the elapsed time will be placed in the cell next to the start time.

    Re: Stopwatch

As the stopwatch is a userform ((which is part of Excel), I think it is impossible.
