Import Historical Stock Prices from Yahoo

I have an Excel program which grabs historical stock prices from Yahoo. The program works fine in all cases except when I am trying to pull in a prices for the Dow Jones Industrial Average. The symbol that needs to be used for the Dow is "^DJI", which is the correct symbol. I was able to step through the code line-by-line and it appears to be grabbing the correct data from Yahoo. The issue is when the code comes to the line

Once it comes to this line of code, it immediately goes to the Err_CommandButton1_Click: section. I've stepped through the code now dozens of times and still can't figure out why it gets stuck for this symbol only. I'm hoping a fresh set of eyes might be able to see something I am missing. Any comments are appreciated. Copy Excel spreadsheet attached. Thanks

I was able to figure out the error that is being caused. The error message is "Multiple-step operation generated errors. Check each status value." Still can't figure out how to resolve.

How would I get stock prices from the TSX or TSX.V using your spreadsheet? This could save me a tonne of time.

    Thanks

Re: Import Historical Stock Prices from Yahoo

I tried modifying code again but still getting error message is "Multiple-step operation generated errors. Check each status value". Any thoughts out there as to why code generates an error for this symbol only?

On a side note to: Xx7

The symbol goes in cell B1 (use the same symbol that Yahoo Finance uses). I assume TSX is the Toronto Stock Exchange. As an example, say you want a quote for POYNT CORPORATION. The symbol to enter into cell B1 is "PYN.V" If you want to see all dates, leave cell B2 and B3 blank. Cell B4 allows you to filter data by Day, Week, or Month. Once you have entered your data parametors, click the "Go" icon. HTH

Re: Import Historical Stock Prices from Yahoo

Thanks for the suggestion. It works fine for stock quotes but still can't get the historical quote I need, which is for the Dow Jones. Google Finance uses ".DJI" for the symbol. Yahoo Finance uses "^DJI". I can't get either one of these to work with your attachment. Any suggestions? Thanks
