Question Linked Cell Doesn't Display 00

    Hi again ya'll,

I need the number in Cell B14 on Sheet A to be linked to Cell T25 on Sheet B. Cell B14 is custom formatted to display numbers entered as two digits. On Sheet B in Cell T25, I have a formula that reads ='Sheet A'!$B$14.

This works swell with all two digit numbers except when Cell B14 contains 00. Now Cell T25 is empty. How do I get Cell T25 to display 00?

    Thanks!

Re: Linked Cell Doesn't Display 00

If I custom format T25 to 00, I get 00 even when B14 has 00 or even if B14 is blank.
Where there is a will there are many ways.

You have your sheet to not display zeroes...

Go to to Office Button and clickExcel Options and select Advanced.. then go to the section Display options for this worksheet and then check option show a zero in cells that have a zero value.

It wasn't on the workbook you downloaded...

That is very weird, your attachment works now. The only problem now is that if the cell on the Data Entry Sheet is empty, the cell on the C of C For Parts Sheet still displays 00. This is not good. Is it fixable?

    Change formula to:

    =IF('Sheet A'!$B$14="","",'Sheet A'!$B$14)

Re: Linked Cell Doesn't Display 00

Mm, I'm sorry, but this is still giving me trouble..

I pasted this formula =IF('Data Entry'!$B$14="","",'Data Entry'!$B$14) in Cell T25 on the C of C For Parts Sheet. But now I have the same issue as before - nothing shows up if 00/nothing is displayed on the B14 Cell.

    What am I doing wrong?

See and test the attached again.

Please re-instate the data validation you had on T25... I removed it and don't remember the condition.

Strange... I can get yours to work, but why on earth doesn't mine? I've attached the entire workbook this time. Notice there is one more sheet called the C of C For Kits. It contains the same T25 cell as the C of C For Parts sheet, and isn't working either. Could you take a look to see what I'm doing wrong?

    Thanks again for everything.

Re: Linked Cell Doesn't Display 00

When I open my XL2007 and start a new sheet and I go to my Excel Options, by default by option to show zeros is checked on...

.. only when I open your workbook do I go there and see it off... all I do is check it on, and everything works.

Your first sheet shows the zeroes...

Are you sure it is on, make sure also that you are referencing the correct sheets in your excel options? Maybe uncheck it and check it again, then save it... I don't know why else it would not work.

Thank you! I did not realize that every sheet has it's own settings, I think. I'm not exactly sure what went wrong there. Oh well. It works now. Thanks again! And have a great weekend!
